About Wintron Electronics

Wintron Electronics is a wholesale distributor of marine electronics and related products, representing over 70 manufacturers including Garmin, Furuno, Lowrance, Raymarine, and Simrad. Based in New Jersey, they serve the recreational and commercial boating industries across the US and internationally, selling exclusively through a dealer network that includes boat dealers, marinas, retail stores, repair shops, and commercial fleets.

The Challenge

A Fragmented B2B eCommerce Operation With No Single Source of Truth

Wintron was running a 100% B2B eCommerce operation across four separate systems: a NetSuite ERP, a SuiteCommerce storefront, an FTP server for data exchange, and a third-party stock management system. On paper, the setup worked. In practice, it created constant friction.

Orders were coming in from multiple external sales channels (Amazon, eBay, WooCommerce, and others), but there was no automated way to route them into a single system. The FTP-based workflow required manual handling, and when something went wrong, diagnosing the issue meant digging through multiple platforms with no central visibility.
Promotions were equally fragmented. Wintron was managing pricing and promotional logic across two different platforms, creating inconsistencies and making it harder to run B2B pricing strategies efficiently at scale.

The core problem: NetSuite should have been the system of record for orders, inventory, customers, and fulfillment, but it wasn’t. Every operation required coordination between systems that were not designed to work together, and each platform created its own data gaps, failure points, and manual workarounds.

A NetSuite-Centered B2B Integration Architecture

Wintron was managing orders, inventory, promotions, and product data across four disconnected systems. UnlockCommerce rebuilt their operation around NetSuite as the single source of truth, replacing manual FTP workflows with a custom API-driven architecture that connects every sales channel to the ERP in real time.

Every order, regardless of where it originates, now flows through NetSuite. Every promotion is managed in one place. Every item published to an external channel starts from SuiteCommerce. The result is a B2B operation that is faster to manage and built to scale across multiple channels without adding complexity.

UnlockCommerce is scoped to migrate Wintron’s FTP server to a modern, automated, and secure setup within NetSuite. Phase 2 also includes real-time inventory availability inside SuiteCommerce, calculated by date and actual stock levels to prevent backorders that cannot be fulfilled across channels, which is a critical requirement for any B2B company selling across multiple platforms simultaneously.
 
Additional Phase 2 work includes a custom solution to expand NetSuite’s native promotions capabilities, and an integration with an external digital asset management platform to serve item data and product assets across Wintron’s sales channels.
