Recently, we faced a significant challenge with one of our clients who runs two SuiteCommerce Advanced (SCA) sites for their B2B users. They were dealing with a major issue: each site generated two customer records in the backend for every customer using the sites, one for each subsidiary. While we had customized the user experience so that customers wouldn’t notice, the duplicated customer records created complications in their ERP system, particularly in accounting.
The client’s leadership began discussing switching platforms, feeling that their internal structure was being forced to fit what the web could support, rather than the web supporting their business needs. Our main contact, came to us seeking a solution to keep them on SuiteCommerce.
